Want a quick snapshot of what I’ve been up to already in 2016?
There was this story in the Guardian Australia, about the bias experienced by part-time workers.
Continuing the theme of working parents, this one on SBS life is helping with the work life juggle, while those who find themselves friendless as a new parent, might enjoy my story on the art of dating other parents.
Over at the Sydney Morning Herald and the Age, I explored whether deleting your writing on purpose is a good idea. (I know – seems a no brainer, right?) and had a chat with the CEO of Contiki travel.
I’ve been pretty active on the airwaves this year, mostly talking about my new website, Babies Who Travel – listen to me on ABC radio or Travel Writers radio providing tips and tricks, but also talking about life as a travel writer on podcasts and the airwaves (more from me on ABC here).
I’ve just confirmed I’ll be writing a regular “Toddler Travel” column for Out & About With Kids magazine. Keep an eye out!
And when my feet are back on the ground at home, I’ve stayed busy mentoring freelance writers and helping people improve their writing at work, through one to one coaching (as well as my regular teaching for the Australian Writers’ Centre).
Plus, always helping companies solving their wordsmithing challenges while wearing my copywriters hat. More on that here.
