Listen: Life of a writer – Kate Hennessy

Pretty sure Kate doesn't ALWAYS work from a typewriter

Those of you keen to break into the writing world might enjoy this audio recording of my interview with experienced freelance writer Kate Hennessy.

Kate’s feature articles have been published in dozens of magazines, newspapers and online publications, including news.com.au, Smarter business magazine, Wellbeing, travel magazine Get Lost, environment magazine G, and music publication Mess+Noise.

But journalism is only half of Kate’s professional work. She also does quite a lot of corporate writing. Dozens of well known organisations, including Sydney Theatre Company and insurance giant IAG are on her client list.

In this podcast, Kate shares her tips about how to balance the world of corporate writing with freelance journalism.  She offers advice on how to break into each industry, and how to keep the work flowing once you’re in there.
